APPLES
& TEACHERS
APPLES
have existed as a wild fruit since prehistoric times and have been
cultivated for more than 3000 years. The ancient Greeks, Etruscans,
Romans and Egyptians were among its early cultivators. During the
California Gold rush apples sometimes fetched more than $100.00
per bushel because of their versatility, durability and capacity
to be preserved by drying. The apple tree now grows (in thousands
of varieties) in almost every corner of the globe - from Japan to
Madagascar to south Africa, New Zealand, Russia, China, England,
France and across much of North America.
In
North America, the phrase, "An Apple For the Teacher"
has long symbolized the appreciation and support of teachers by
parents and students. In addition to our best achievements, Appreciation
for our Teachers is the best gift we can give them.
APPLES
4 TEACHERS - Apples have long been a symbol of appreciation from
students and parents to teachers. The comparison of teachers and
apples is a good one:
- Apples
and Teachers come in all colours, sizes and tastes.
- Apples
and Teachers both have a sturdy exterior and a discreet and distinctive
interior.
- Apples
have seeds with which to reproduce the species for future generations
to come.
Teachers facilitate maximum student learning, attitudes, work habits
and achievements which are the seeds of life for future generations
of citizens of the world. Just as a good farmer cultivates and nurtures
the apple trees in the orchards, so too, ought our society be nurturing
and supporting our teachers. Our future generations of citizens
will be successful with the mutual support of parents and teachers.
WE
ARE CONFERENCE VENDORS
Because we are a mail order company, we look forward to visiting
conferences as vendors whenever we can. Meeting our customers and
target audience of future customers lets us get direct feed-back
about what you like and what you wish we had to offer. That has
been the major factor in adding and deleting products.
We
choose the conferences we attend based on a combination of: the
location, the number of Principals, administrators and teachers
involved as participants and the rental charge for table or booth
space.
We do try to make our expenses in sales at conferences and we are
prepared to make some risk that your delegates will like our "teacher-inspired"
merchandise and order more and/or spread the word about our products
long after meeting us.
We
try to book into large conferences in the fall after Thanksgiving
and in the spring months of April and May but we are always flexible
to good opportunities. So let us know as much in advance as possible
especially if flying from Toronto will be required.

rates and other relevant information ASAP.
